Take Courage! Be Proactive! Go out and get what you need “to survive and thrive”! This month features a beneficent conjunction of Venus, Jupiter and Mars. The Jupiter-Mars association encourages us to push out of our comfort zone, to be more ambitious and adventurous! Venus is the balance in that equation — allowing “creativity, gentleness, caring, relating to others and simply being”. But Venus doesn’t join that aspect until mid-Oct, so the first two weeks might feel a little stressful, as it’s also Mercury retrograde until 10/10 — so we may want to spend the first 10 days planning our approach and taking action on or after the 10th. Virgos may especially feel driven by the force of Mars and Jupiter in her sign, but Venus’ arrival softens the energies. There will be a “dynamic new moon on 10/13 in the sign of Libra”. Uranus, “planet of sudden change, will be in opposition to this new moon”; we are urged to “break our patterns” in order to create something better. Libras will feel a strong need for change about now. For some of us health issues will be the arena that convinces us to make much needed changes — for others the arena of relationships is where change is most needed. Uranus, Mars, Jupiter — never “apologize for their existence”; they teach us that sometimes we need to put our needs first! If you want “to be happy, we sometimes need to guard our boundaries and assert our right to be ourselves”. So map out your plan — where do you need to be more assertive and courageous? Form your intentions and put your plan into action in the second half of October. “As Venus aligns with Jupiter around 10/24, good fortune could smile on those who ask for help, have faith and push forward with their dreams. Venus and Jupiter together are a bit like a fairy godmother, so make your wishes and if they are aligned with your heart, they have a good chance of coming to fruition at this time.” Libras, Sagittarians and Taureans may “find themselves very blessed”. The last half of the month we should focus on gratitude — because the more we focus on good received and acknowledge it — the universe multiplies and bestows more good! We need to be receptive to blessings, focus on what works, and acknowledge where we are blest! A “sign from the universe” pointing us in “the right direction” is MAJOR! Abundance of good grows from the soil of a grateful heart, nurtured, cultivated — we are replenished with showers of blessings! October is full of “promise and potential — to tap into it we need to be bold, courageous, adventurous, creative, authentic, ambitious, and grateful.” We may find ourselves at month’s end “in a much more interesting and satisfying position than when we began”. BE BOLD — GO FOR IT!

Which political party is best suited for addressing economic issues?
“Debt is the total owed from past and present borrowing; deficit is this year’s borrowing. The national debt was smallest (as compared to GDP) than it had been in fifty years when Reagan was elected in 1980.” Reagan rode into office swearing to decrease the debt, but he was duped by political “economists” into believing that the government “would collect more money by reducing taxes”. “Cutting taxes to raise money was crazy , but it was the deception to cut taxes for the richest and then use the deficits to force cuts in services for the middle class and the poor” that was truly despicable! (And Republicans still subscribe to this policy.) This economic theory was called supply-side economics, but George H.W. Bush called it Voodoo. Trickle down economics “is outrageously dishonest!” George W. Bush reinstated it after Clinton left office with a surplus! “Republicans only complain about deficits when Democrats are in office.” Dick Cheney said, “Reagan proved that deficits don’t matter”. Those who report that the U.S. has added trillions of dollars in debt since President Obama took office is misleading; the interest on the debt keeps increasing. “What would have happened if Reagan and the Bushes had balanced their own budgets” before leaving office? Our national debt would be a fraction of what it is now!
