Despite Trump’s many manipulative, illegal attempts at election-interference, contacting election officials in different states, inviting & hosting Michigan Election Board members at the White House, giving them lodging at his D.C. Trump Hotel, intimidating, wheedling, delaying, …. the Michigan Board finally certified their results, one person abstaining from the vote; the Office of GSA finally issued the ascertainment, confirming Biden as President-Elect, and has released the funds for the presidential-transition to go forward. Although Georgia has certified its election results, Trump is demanding yet another recount in GA, so they will be tabulating those 5 million votes for a 3rd time, but it will not change the result. How many times must Trump hear that he’s lost? Believe it or not, some militia groups around the country declare that they stand ready to defend Trump, should he call on them to act. Trump will undoubtedly undermine government agencies in the days to come; he will continue to tout legal challenges to the election results; he will obfuscate and continue to push baseless fraud claims & charges of theft against him, but nothing in our Constitution requires that Trump actually concede; he’s lost, and Joe Biden will be sworn-in as the 46th President of The United States of America on Jan 20, 2021.
Biden has announced his first round of cabinet picks; they are an outstanding array of qualified, experienced public servants, most of whom are known to foreign diplomats around the world. This group of senior officials from the Obama administration, most have worked together previously at the State Dept. & the White House. They will be able to ‘hit the ground running’, “and share a belief in the core-principles of the Democratic foreign policy establishment, international cooperation, and strong U.S. alliances & leadership”. Hopefully, they all will be Senate-confirmed. And now, we must focus our attention on the Georgia state runoff elections on January 5, 2021, and contribute & support Jon Ossoff & Rev. Raphael Warnock in their runs for those two open U.S. Senate seats, so that we can ensure getting great things done for our country, not being under the obstruction & corruption of a majority Republican Senate. Kelly Loeffler & David Perdue are debauched politicians, who have not furthered American ideals in their Senate terms; they will lie & falsely-attack Ossoff & Warnock, but We The People need to send Loeffler & Perdue home, and send Ossoff & Warnock to the U.S. Senate.
