MAY 2016 PREDICTIONS

The lusty month of May begins with all but 3 planets in retrograde motion!  “As Mercury heads back through the sign of Taurus, we are invited to slow down and smell the flowers” or plant some.  This is NOT a time to push ahead, but to relax and spend time in quiet pursuits of the Spirit and nature.  A new moon occurs on May 6th — time for a “new mindset — and how to generate a greater feeling of abundance and gratitude”, which sets us up to attract greater good.  It’s a universal law — “if our energy is giving and abundant, we’re more likely to receive more of the same”.  “Taurus is the sign of sensual pleasure and appreciation of the natural world” — a sign of plenty and contentment, but also one of complacency — not wanting to get involved in community affairs or politics, or anything else that would tend to “disturb their level of contentment; that is a negative aspect of this sign”.  This can be a time for reflection and “new insights”.  This retrograde period, “passing across the face of the Sun” gives us an opportunity for illumination – if we are quiet and still enough to integrate the answers.  The first 2 weeks of May holds the potential for clearing out old stuff and for gaining a new perspective.  “A full moon in Sagittarius on May 21st invites us out to play and welcomes a lighter vibration.  Mercury resumes its normal forward movement on May 23rd.”   The full moon is conjoined with Mars, so be watchful for “emotional outbursts and if you find yourself quick to anger be quick to apologize.  This is more likely to have relevance for the Sagittarius and the Gemini, who will feel the force of the full moon more than the other signs.  By being mindful of one’s inner states, emotions can be nipped in the bud.”    The full moon period is a lively time for social interactions, so don’t sit at home — get out and enjoy!  As the end of the month nears, “Mars moves back into its own sign of Scorpio” and we are urged to protect ourselves from compromising situations, to set and reinforce boundaries and move ahead in the direction we want to go.  May is an important month for learning patience, learning to be in allowance of things we can’t change for the time being, and for us to possibly recognize the importance of the truth:  that our own mindset influences our experience of life — whether it’s one of struggles and sorrow or ease and joy!  Let that be our meditation for each and every day: “I embrace my life with ease and joy!  I open my awareness to the Divine in the universe!” (from an Oprah/Chopra meditation)     And notice the miracles that begin to occur for us!
