The Venusian theme throughout October concerns issues of “love, relationships, money and aesthetics” — as the Sun is in Venus, ruled by Libra.  Relationships will be a major concern — problems coming to a head, giving us opportunities to repair damages or let some friendships go.  As Venus turns retrograde Oct 5th, initiating a new relationship, getting married, entering financial contracts, making big purchases, even having surgery would best be put off “until later in November, when Venus will have resumed her normal motion”.

The Venus retrograde cycle centers on values, and those take on extra importance at this time.  As we approach the new moon on Oct 9th, we need to ask ourselves, “What do I truly value?”  Do we value “beauty, freedom, truth, family, home”, entertainment, education, travel, adventure?  Look to where you spend any expendable income to help you gauge where your values lie.  When we get clear about what our values are, we can more authentically reconcile our actions with our values.  If we’re not living our values, we create inner conflicts.  To be happy with ourselves we must be true to our highest priorities.  Some people spend excessive amounts of money on their appearance — clothes, makeup, hair, nails; some positions require these expenditures.  If spending a lot on natural remedies and supplements, we can help ourselves by realizing that “the fundamentals of good health are sensible nutrition, balanced exercise and rest, and happy thoughts”.

“A relationship that you’d been taking for granted could begin to shift and improve as you realize its worth.”  We can “relish opportunities for new relationships and fresh starts with current relationships around Oct 9th under the new moon; this is a good time to resolve past issues or end relationships.  As this new moon is square to Pluto — there will be an element of finality with our relationships, so we must not be afraid to leave something behind if it’s no longer serving our well-being.”

Watch out!  September is about “breaking free from restrictions” and stagnancy.  “Throughout September, Mars is square Uranus — and we might feel pushed to rebel against anything that restricts us or thwarts our individuality.  Mars and Uranus work well together in a combination of scientific breakthroughs, creative genius, and rebellious actions that lead to progressive change.  For those with Mars aspecting Uranus, and for Aquarians, Arians, Taureans and Scorpios, extra care must be taken, particularly in driving or playing sports.  Mars is in Aquarius for nearly all of September; “we have a double dose of Uranian energy, which is very feisty indeed!  We could see protests or clashes between different groups or political parties.  Expect the themes to revolve around the environment, farming and agriculture, and the economy.”  We might see “technology play a bigger part in farming and the monetary system, and there may be innovations that have a very progressive feel.  The downside of these two planets at loggerheads is violence.”  The choice is ours — “to be explosive or dynamic”.  As “Mars is also square Venus throughout much of the month”, we might have to work on being tactful and personable, especially mid-month when “Venus, Mars and Uranus form a tight T-square, an aspect full of tension.  Frustrated passions and pent-up energies can lead to volatile break-throughs, but sometimes the air needs to be cleared so that relationships can breakout of stagnancy.”

“Jupiter’s square to the Sun reflects taking on too much — Mars and Mercury are both retrograde — and Mars is square Uranus, a rebellious, frustrated energy — unexpected events could disrupt your plans.  Be mindful of taking on too much, rushing, or having unrealistic expectations.”  Take a note from Mercury and Mars, and Slow down, be patient and realistic; we live in  a climate that is hectic, ambitious, rushed and anxious, a time when it’s all too easy to overextend ourselves  physically, emotionally and financially.  “So, if you’re stretched to your limit, then this message is gently informing you that the astrological climate could exacerbate things to the extent that something could pop.”   Knowing this aforehand — SLOW DOWN, take a vaca, RELAX, as “striving for progress and achievement is probably going to be counterproductive”, in a retrograde zone.

“Any issues, difficulties, or problems in the days before August 11th are indicative of where you need to make a change”, as a solar eclipse in Leo on the 11th, and a retrograde Mercury, will be squared by Jupiter.  “Solar eclipses are great nudges for letting go of the past and welcoming changes, but with Mercury retrograde, we can’t rush this process.”  We have some inner work to do;  we “must get clear about what we want and carefully work with the universe to bring this about.  Events might happen around this eclipse that make it easier — to create a change.”

Retrograding planets in difficult aspects, especially to the eclipse, make this an uncomfortable time.  We might ask ourselves why we’re feeling so rebellious, anxious and driven.  Instead of fighting our way upstream, we can decide to move in harmony, swim with the tide, releasing what no longer serves us and accepting or embracing what the universe brings us to.

By August 19th the storm will clear, Mercury turns direct and “Mars slips back into Capricorn” — a comfortable spot, and “more than half the planets are either in their own signs or signs in which they are exalted, so life should feel much more harmonious”.  The second half of August will be a “huge relief …. as the planets create harmonious and helpful connections with each other, culminating in a glorious full moon that forms the shape of a kite, which is a rare configuration, and we are blessed with harmony, ease, good fortune and assistance.  The kite formation points the way forward”, showing us where we need to focus our attention for best results.”  This full moon which falls in Pisces, is the focal point and suggests “that compassion, tolerance, and unconditional love are the way forward, these traits being “more easily embraced and respected by larger numbers of people around this time”.

Recognizing our reasonable limits, in the first half of August, is good self-care, “when we might delude ourselves with flights of fancy, unrealistic expectations, or over-the-top emotion” (and reactions).  “If we can rein in our energies abit and focus on the necessities” we will in a good position to ‘capitalize’ on the help that the planets will bestow” later in August, finding “help in unexpected places”.

The end of the month, with Saturn’s trine to Uranus and the Sun, is an auspicious time to seize the “opportunity to develop, progress, or make constructive changes in a key life area.”  This is a good aspect for gaining insight and feeling inspired …. a time to move forward with discernment and ease!

We live in a world of cycles — of balancing energies.  June finds Mars retrograding, slowing “to a crawl” and beginning “to reverse through the sign of Aquarius”, giving us the “message to slow down and take life easier.  We might find that our energy isn’t there, and progress is hard to come by. this is particularly likely for those influenced by Mars: Aries, Scorpio and Aquarius.”  They will benefit from being “more gentle and tolerant with themselves and others, and life in general.  For everyone else, Mars will be affecting a particular area of life” — so consult your natal chart and progression forecasts for specific guidance “on how to work harmoniously with the Mars energies.  We might experience a lack of will, motivation, energy and power.  When Mars retrogrades …. it’s not a time to be overly ambitious or competitive, nor is it favorable to initiate new ventures, projects, groups or businesses”.  Any aggressive behavior can end in failure.  “Any country that initiates an act of aggression under a retrograde Mars is likely to come off worse — this is not a time to pick a fight with your neighbor or to initiate court proceedings.”  Particularly in the last week of June “when Mars is in full retrograde motion” — it would be a good time to take a vaca from all the hustle and bustle of high-intensity endeavors.  Before June 26th Mars is moving parallel with the south node — that node acting “much like a black hole” for Martian energies, and “any act of aggression initiated” in June could potentially dissolve.  Mars “represents the ability to take action and get things done, however we are living in a time of excessive Mars energy” and could benefit in a lessening of the steady intensity of militancy.  “Throughout much of the month we have a harmonious grand trine featuring Jupiter, Venus, Mercury and Neptune, suggesting softness and synchronicity, spiritual growth and gentle feminine energy.”  The more ‘laid-back’ types will find June more pleasant, but “Type A personalities could meet with some kind of failure, whether it’s from lack of energy, a failed project or something backfires”.  So we might as well CHOOSE to slow down, shift our attention to enjoying life and what we already have, make time for play and fun, spend more time in nature and just RELAX!  “Follow your heart, tune into your soul’s wisdom, and find yourself in the right place at the right time doing the right thing….tap into a simpler way of living and a more soulful way to conduct your life”, moving into ‘softness’ or mindfulness.  Soft time “invites us to live more in sync with our natural rhythms, go a little slower, and soften our all over approach to life.  To do this we need to develop a soft mind in which there is no struggle, no hard edges in our thinking, no harsh judgment of others or ourselves, and no rushing, pushing, straining, or stressing over deadlines”.  We needn’t always be in competition with others or striving to impress.  “Soft time is the antidote to the madness of modern life.”  So, let us choose to BE  ZEN, to relax and be in the flow of the current of life instead of trying to swim against it.

Uranus, after traveling through Aires for 7 years, “moves into Taurus on May 15th”.  Unpredictable Uranus expressed through fiery Aries, squared by Pluto in Capricorn gave rise to chaos, volatility and the breakdown of “outdated regimes”.  “Uranus represents revolution, rebellion, freedom and inspiration …. Taurus represents money, all physical, tangible things, including Earth” herself.  “Pluto’s ongoing journey through Capricorn will continue to transform the establishment.”   We can expect a shake-up in our economic structures “and the way we view the environment” — with more disasters and “unpredictable weather patterns over the next 7 years”.  Gaia continues a warming phase and enters an even greater degree of instability, a shifting of poles.  As many exacerbate the rape and pillage of our planet continuing — their irresponsible disposal of toxic wastes, the rampant use of dangerous pesticides, rolling back protections for clean air and water — Mother Earth may just rebel.  Our planet continuing its ascension  — needs less carbons spewed into our environment, and more solar and wind-powered devices utilized.           For the financially savvy ….”invest only in green and or ethical companies”.   This is the beginning of seeing big changes in companies and systems based on greed going bust; we are also seeing a transformation in how we make financial transactions.  Uranus sides with the underdog, and we may see a rebellion to the unfair structures in place that serve the ultra-rich at the expense of those struggling to get by.  “Possibilities range from a collapse of the financial system to revolutionary shifts that benefit the majority.  Anticipate “a lot of talk about the economy … as we also have Saturn, Mars and Pluto in Capricorn (the sign of the system, “including governments, banks and powerful organizations)”.  Uranus in Taurus  “will encourage people to stand up against financial exploitation, greed and unfairness”.                  As Uranus moves into Taurus on May 15th, alongside Mercury … a time “perfect for downloading inspiring and innovative ideas … we also have a new moon in Taurus, intensifying new beginnings and making this a perfect time to invite change”.  Mars squares Uranus on the 15th, so we can expect some volatility.  Uranus is the Liberator — that calls on us to be authentic and to seek empowerment in all areas of weakness or restriction.  As we near the end of the month, as the Sun enters Gemini, and Mars moves into Aquarius, we get a respite from “the heaviness of 7 planets in earth signs”.  A full moon on the 29th optimistically encourages us “to broaden our horizons, remain curious and consider new possibilities”.  Carl Jung wrote, “When an inner situation is not made conscious, it appears outside as fate”.  As we strive to become “more conscious of what is going on within us and allow its expression” — we won’t feel as overtaken by events, and will hopefully feel more like Life is happening FOR US as opposed as happening TO US!

BUCKLE UP FOLKS!  We’re off to a bumpy start!  “Mercury will be retrograde — squaring Mars, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn throughout April”, which begins with a full moon in Libra, also squaring this trio in Capricorn.  Geminis ,Virgos and Aries, especially –may feel frustrated that their “personal needs” are not being met, and will need to apply “patience and acceptance” as this month unfolds, and many of us may feel unduly tested by these erratic energies.  We may be feeling thwarted as “Mercury retrograde in square formation to the karmic planets” play out, however we can examine what other projects or activities need our attention, and take some time-out for creative self-expression.  By mid-month a new moon, joined by Uranus, on April 15th, will find Mercury to have turned direct and the energies will feel somewhat lighter, but for the cardinal signs: Aries, Capricorn, Cancer and Libra, these folks are likely to feel most affected and feel it’s time for a “radical change” in some area of their lives, even if only in their thinking.   Capricorns and Libras will need to accept change and new beginnings, especially with partnerships; Cancers need to embrace a change in their life direction.  “Aries, who are affected most strongly by this new moon — will need to completely open to overall change and should spend time thinking about a new life, whatever that means to them.”  The “Uranian new moon is square to powerful Pluto” in Capricorn, “we can expect developments to be long-lasting and transformative”.  There is likely to be “conflict” on the world stage at this time as the “Sun, Moon, and Uranus in Aries — don’t see eye to eye with Mars, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn; these are completely different energies that want to be expressed” differently, and we could well “see clashes between progressive and conservative thinkers, which are likely to manifest as resistance against the government, police or multi-national corporations”.  There will be arguments and protests “by people who feel oppressed” and marginalized.  “The POWERS THAT BE actively strive” to foment divisions among us, and know that we are not as powerful when fighting amongst ourselves, as when we stand together.  Keep this in mind as we strongly align ourselves against our fellow humans on the planet; that WE are the pawns in THEIR GAME OF THRONES!   The authoritarian governments tend to crack-down on uprisings as “they know that they’re losing the battle in the GREAT AWAKENING”!  We must “hang in there, keep moving forward and sending Light to those who seem lost”.   By April 20th as “the Sun moves into Taurus, things  will” begin to modify and seem somewhat less chaotic and intense, but as “Mars, Saturn and Pluto continue their journey through Capricorn”, many will still feel mired in the muck.  “Take heart!”  April 21st and 22nd brings “4 celestial bodies forming an aspect known as a mystical rectangle or doorway” (this aspect “has spiritual connotations” and has been “found in the charts of Eckhart Tolle, Thich Nat Hanh”, and other spiritual leaders).  “This alignment forms in the sky” and portends an “opportunity to experience some kind of awakening, breakthrough”, revelatory enlightenment, even if temporary.  “Pluto, Venus, the Moon and Jupiter” form this doorway — “all in feminine signs”, suggesting “the way forward” may be one of “peace and nurturance through gentle power and inner strength”; this represents the archetypal “Earth Mother, who is gentle, caring, supportive, strong, kind, powerful and grounded”, but not soft.  Goddess Warriors, band together; do not “fight blindly”, but come from your place of power, meditating to reveal the answers Spirit has for us, opening “a doorway that leads you from struggle into peace”.  “Pay close attention to your dreams” on April 21st/22nd; what “significant themes, images, stories” or advice are you shown?  Ask your angels, spirit guides, master teachers – your Higher Self – for assistance — in all that you do.  Set your intention to deepen and strengthen your connection to Spirit, to be assisted in integrating and utilizing the new frequencies and energies that are here for us now during this major Shift in Consciousness. “The Sun, Neptune, Mercury, Venus and Chiron all in malleable Pisces” in the first half of this month bodes that we “go with the flow and don’t resist what is”.   The Pisces-Neptune connection nudges us to be more forgiving and nonjudgmental with others.  The month begins with a “full moon in Virgo opposite the Sun’s conjunction to Neptune, which is likely to bring this theme of tolerance rather than criticism” to the forefront.  The first three weeks of March is a time of healing, inspiration, and spiritual development.  Find opportunities for what inspires you and participate in that: painting, photography, writing, music, dance.   This is an optimal cycle for our bodies to “respond better to subtle energies than brash, forceful ones, — so Reiki, flower essences, homeopathy, yoga, tai chi and so on, could work very well” for us.  This being an auspicious phase for us to get into or come back into “accordance with our true spiritual blueprint”, our optimal healthy selves, we need to reflect on finding and participating in ‘what calls our spirits back’.  For those who might be feeling overly-anxious, depressed or defeatist, you may feel like you need assistance in getting unstuck to deal “with suppressed emotions and past wounds”; if so, you might really benefit from seeking out that counseling now. There are other less-traditional kinds of counseling available to select from these days, for instance life coaches that instruct HeartMath and other modalities of stress-reduction and reflection.  The first week of March “is conducive for breakthroughs in terms of soul retrieval; we have an opportunity in March to unblock ourselves, enabling the life force to flow” more harmoniously.  We need ALOT of SELF-CARE at this period; get more rest, take restorative walks in nature, eat lighter, seek out positive friends, and remember POSITIVE SELF-TALK, which helps us overcome defeatist and limiting messages we tell ourselves.  Resolve to THINK & TALK POSITIVE MESSAGES to ourselves and others.  We need to do “the soul work because we will need our energy and togetherness to deal with the challenges that lie ahead”.  The combination of Saturn, Mars and Pluto in Capricorn on March 20th will test many of us in a particular sphere of life — beware the taxman, the warrior and Hades.  Difficulty is increased in Capricorn, which rules politics, the government, big business, the police, and anyone else in power and control.  Some will experience challenges in these areas — times are going to get tough for the government.  We cannot over-ride the taxman, the warrior or Hades (lord of the underworld) — so if life feels tough in the last week or so of March”, keep in mind these may be karmic tests we set up for “ourselves before incarnating” — and so we go forth to meet the challenges as best we can.  “Capricorns will feel the weight and intensity since the planets are occupying this sign, and Libras, Cancers, and Aries will also feel the heaviness in some way too.  Capricorns have a rare opportunity to make some really serious, lasting changes to their lives.  Think constructive, long-term change, and do what needs to be done — the rewards will come” eventually.  Libras — ‘personal and domestic lives’ will be affected — meeting “obligations with a smile and good grace will help you pass the test.  Aries will feel the weight in the professional arena or in their life direction — creating a structured path ahead is advisable rather than” hoping and letting things play out by chance.  “Work hard and plan to get where you need to be, and shoulder your responsibilities work-wise.  You are tilling the ground for long-term success.”  The other signs may “get off more lightly but still need to be vigilant for anything that feels like hard work”.  If we deal with whatever comes our way in “as positive and as wise a way as we can, all will be well”.  On March 31st, “the month ends with another full moon — bringing a grand finale to the issues that have presented themselves” thus far.  We are striving “to achieve balance — especially for the aforementioned cardinal signs, who might feel rather stressed” towards the end of the month.  The grand theme for March is learning to “strive to work within our limits,, and find ways to deal with frustrations by channeling our energy effectively”.  Saturn, the task-master, “Mars and Pluto in Capricorn” can be harsh reminders that when the going gets tough “character is built through meeting adversity and surviving”; and getting past these hurdles, as positively as possible, will stand us in good stead to face the rest of this year.  “THIS TOO SHALL PASS”.    And remember: SELF-CARE!      “KEEP ON KEEPING ON!”

“Capricorn, the sign of work, responsibility and success”, will house six planets as the new year begins, inclining many of us to contemplate the roles we are playing, and if they feel suitable, or balanced. Are these roles the characters we want “to play on life’s stage or have we outgrown them”?  These are the issues we can expect to arise as the full moon shines on January 2nd; as Jupiter is aligned with Mars in Scorpio”, encouraging us to follow our dreams or to become aware of some, and to make a plan or at least a sketch.  With trust and commitment we can see our plans take place and develop.  “The Sun and Venus in Capricorn remind us of the importance of loving what we do.”  The new moon in Capricorn on January 16th offers us the opportunity to let “go of the old and to focus on the new”.  The tremendous amount of energy in Capricorn at this new moon, which is squared by Uranus in Aries is bound to unleash major dramas; “we must be prepared to let go of something that no longer fits” … to embrace and create change … to explore new paths.  “Capricorn is very much about the status quo and being seen as doing the right thing’, however … who we are in private … matters much more.  “Uranus will rip aside any inauthentic pretense when we are not being true to ourselves or others”, which begs the question, “How are we not being real, and how do we get real?”  The answer:  by going within and “listening to the quiet whispers of our soul and taking heed rather than paying attention to what other people might think”.  January 31st brings a second full moon — “a lunar eclipse in Leo, the most heart-centered sign of the zodiac.  By this time, many of the planets that were in Capricorn will have moved into Aquarius, releasing somewhat the pressures on Capricorn and the other cardinal signs”, and switching the focus to the fixed signs of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, and Aquarius, whose focus on “humanitarian desires” and channeling of “altruistic energy in a way that feels good in our hearts”, is the definitive quality of Aquarius.  As January comes to a close, it is time to “place our dreams in our hearts where they can begin to grow.  The choices we make this month will set the scene for the year and possibly many years to come.”  Form a Plan, and nurture it with Intention, and watch it Manifest!
