Pluto is going to bring “generational changes”, beginning in March 2023. “Pluto is a generational planet, working from the inside out. The Plutonian archetype permeates the grassroots and oversees the changes that roll us from one paradigm to the next. Pluto has an orbital cycle of approximately 275 years. Pluto will enter Aquarius on March 23, 2023, after a 15-year stint in Capricorn; Pluto hadn’t been in Capricorn since 1733. The seeds of the American Revolution were planted around that time; the last time Pluto entered Aquarius was in 1778, in the middle of the French and American revolutions. Pluto stayed in Aquarius until 1798. Looking back at 1778, Earth was in an uproar. In the Western world, the War for Independence, which kicked off in 1776, was happening in America. While America was divorcing the British Crown, the French people were beheading aristocrats and taking down their monarchy. The following events happened on the heels of the Boston Tea Party and Valley Forge (1778 – 1798): The British made their formal surrender to the American colonists by signing the Treaty of Paris at Yorktown, Pennsylvania (1783). Representatives from the thirteen American colonies gathered at the Constitutional Convention to draw up the U.S. Constitution (1787). The Bill of Rights was ratified (1791). Across the pond, the Irish Rebellion, formed of the people of Ireland and Scotland, rose up against the British Crown (1798). This is some of what took place on the world stage the last time Pluto began his trip through Aquarius. Wars for Independence were the order of the day, and more than a few were already well underway. Social constructs based on liberty, equality, and brotherhood replaced hierarchies of the aristocracy.”

“Trump’s plan for a second term includes firing squads, hangings, and group executions”, wrote journalist Rafi Schwartz, in The Week magazine. Trump has reportedly been polling his advisors on whether he should have an ‘execution revival’ of older methods, even suggesting death by guillotine, if he is re-elected. Trump, with his “killer political instincts” has expressed interest in “creating a government-ad campaign to highlight his administration’s lethality”, appealing to those whom would resonate with his ‘Hitler-like progroms’. “During Trump’s final months in office, he oversaw the executions of 13 federal prisoners. Since 1963, only 3 federal prisoners had been executed. In January 2021, before Biden took office, Trump oversaw 3 executions within 4 days”, from Rolling Stone magazine article by Asawin Suebsaeng & Patrick Reis. “Lethal injection was the only permissible federal method of execution, but the Trump administration’s new rules made federal firing squads more feasible. Trump favored the death by firing squad method, proposing they send the bullet used, to the deceased prisoner’s family, and making them pay for the bullet.” Former Attorney General Barr stated that if Trump had won re-election in 2020, their administration had planned to oversee many more executions.

If re-elected Trump wants to expand the federal death penalty, bringing back older methods, and “he has suggested televising footage of executions, showing condemned prisoners in the final moments of their lives, and showing their executions, as he wants to put the fear of God into violent criminals”. Trump’s answer to the drug epidemic is: “he wants the death penalty extended to drug dealers”. Trump and his advisors “are planning campaign rhetoric and policy desires”; they plan to create flashy campaign videos to arouse his followers. “Journalist, Oliver Willis, called it the kind of fascist-shite Republican primary voters love.” Will this strong campaign message against crime bring Trump more true followers? Remember his first Law & Order campaign? (Kind of like Richard M. Nixon’s; yeah, he wasn’t really about law & order either.) I remind folks to think about all the outrageous stances and deplorable actions that occurred during Trump’s administration, the children separated from their parents at the border, and housed in cages (some never reunited with their families); the disregard for laws and norms of the presidency; the lowering of our standard & respect among our allies and the U.S, under Trump’s so-called leadership; all the scandals, court cases, and criminal activities that have come to light regarding & involving Donald J. Trump. I believe some of the decline in our society can be directly attributed to the lawless, disrespectful, misogynistic, racist behaviors and attitudes fostered & given permission for by DJT. Let’s not repeat that terrible mistake that has cost our society much of the gains we had won in the past several decades, and the freedoms & liberties that American veterans have fought for, and many died for. Let’s not further tear our country apart; let’s stand for diversity, equality, compassion, understanding, and grow a stronger America together in the 21st century!

We are cautioned to go with the flow this month; “bend, adapt, and acknowledge that change and uncertainty are inevitable”, and in this approach the “birthing process will be much easier, as we’re in times of chaos and breakdown, and the more we resist, the more the things we’re fighting persists. This Taoist philosophy will be important during the first week of February, which could bring increasing chaos, disturbances, and uncertainty due to the Sun squaring Uranus in Taurus; this is then heightened by the full moon in Leo on Feb 5th, which will be an unpredictable full moon with erratic energies that could easily knock us off balance. The immediate task is to be our authentic selves unshackled by limitations, such as the opinions of others, or our roles that have become stifling.” Aquarians & Taureans may feel these energies more profoundly; “Taurus folks who are fixed earth signs, like to keep things as they are”. That approach isn’t going to work well, as “these planets are calling for creative change, innovation, and breaking of restrictive or outworn patterns”. Sometimes when we’re stuck in old patterns, and unconsciously want change, we might be likely to have small breakdowns, accidents, sudden separations, that jolt us into different courses of action. This first week might find us needing some freedom from our rut, but if our life feels too scattered, “the best antidote is to ground yourself and slow the pace”, and “to soothe our frayed spirit, we might spend more time in nature, work with our hands, practice yoga or tai chi to root ourselves to the earth”, and to take up a daily meditation practice. The second & third weeks of Feb will find us digging deeper for purpose & meaning. Mercury conjuncts Pluto, Venus conjuncts Neptune, and Saturn conjuncts the Sun; these simultaneous planetary pairings are powerful energetic urges for us to get on with the necessary internal changes we need to evince. The energetics of Mercury with Pluto, “on the mental plane, urges us to dig deeper and do research on topics of interest; it’s good for psychoanalysis, delving into matters of of the psyche and soul; and favors the interpretation of dreams and unearthing our shadow aspects of our personality”. Integrating our shadow, as opposed to projecting our shadow sides onto others, is an important part of our life’s work; important to our beneficial relationships with others. “Pluto shines a light into our unconscious minds, asking that we acknowledge what we find uncomfortable within ourselves”: so if we’re experiencing some extremes in our relationships this month, let’s take a deeper look, and acknowledge and accept the parts of ourselves that we deem negative; examine those ‘bad’ traits or aspects, and work with them in a way that allows integration, making ourselves whole. “So much of the darkness currently playing out in the world is necessary for the ascension process; we can’t ascend while carrying emotional gunk, so we are all being forced to face our less-than-desirable aspects and bring them into the light. We can be aware of and lovingly accept these parts of ourselves. It might help if we consider the seven deadly sins — anger, gluttony, lust, sloth, pride, envy and greed — and pick the ones that we feel best represents our shadow. Then we can work with it in a way that enlarges our consciousness. Does this sin have a positive side? Can we learn from it? What is it secretly hiding? Can we make this ‘sin’ into a personality and give it a name? Can we dialogue with it, asking what it really wants?”

If the Mercury-Pluto conjunction reveals 3-D darkness, then the Venus-Neptune conjunction elevates us into 5D light. So if we’ve done our work with the Mercury-Pluto energies, we will be ready to experience a much more refined and beautiful vibration with Venus-Neptune frequencies. Here is where we can access the spiritual planes with ease; our unconscious nightmares and dark elements can be replaced by dreams & visions of aesthetic beauty and higher elements of love.” Artists of all kinds will especially enjoy this energy, “which results in our ability to access higher realms through love, art, beauty, or spiritual connections, including synchronicity and inspirational insights and messages”.

Running concurrently with the other two conjunctions is the Saturn-Sun conjunction, which is all about “feet on the ground practical realism”. Saturn is the task-master, and combined with the Sun energy “puts its nose to the grindstone and gets on with it”. This is a fruitful energetic-combination “to make progress in the material world, through employment, practical jobs, financial matters, home tasks, or anything else that implies work, responsibility and duty”. Though it is a helpful pairing, some will find it uncomfortable, but more of us “will feel the Saturn-Sun vibration than the influence of Venus-Neptune, because the Sun is central to everything and carries a lot of power. Saturn governs karma; we must pay our dues and balance the books, so the main theme this month could have karmic roots.”

We might feel pressured to be more disciplined & responsible, to get more done, “make a commitment, or to persevere with something that is our duty to create, experience or provide”. Whichever of these planetary conjunctions affect us most will be determined by: “our personal birth chart, the location of our individual soul’s evolutionary journey, and what we each need to learn and experience.” Make the most of February’s frequencies for growth, and know that whatever lessons were presented, they were exactly what we needed to work on. So let us embrace the spirit of flowing with the incredible changes that are upon us this month, making the most of all we face.

On the eve of the two-year ‘anniversary’ of the Jan 6, 2021 attack on our citadel of Democracy, the far-right extemist-faction of the Rethug party in the House, finds some of the very rebels of the MAGA Jan 6th insurrection, have taken Kevin McCarthy and the House of Representatives hostage, demanding rule changes, positions on certain choice committees, pardons, or whatever else they feel they can extract from him under duress, meanwhile there is no Speaker of the House, no members-elect can be sworn in, and no work can be accomplished in the People’s House. This same rebel-faction has been shielded by McCarthy, who allowed them, AND voted with them, objecting to Arizona’s electoral results, attempting to overturn the true state electors on 1/6/21, as a mob, fueled by extreme MAGA-rhetoric, attacked our Capitol, trying to stop the electoral count from being certified, seeking to overturn Joseph Biden’s legitimate election, and who attempted to seize and kill certain House members. This 10% of members-elect extremists seek to takeover the power from the 90% of the Rethug party in the House for their own perverted aims. This is the third day of the republicans trying to elect Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House for the 118th Congress; nine ballots have been taken & counted, and McCarthy has failed nine times to win that nomination; he is not increasing in votes, but losing more with each round of votes. McCarthy is trying hard to appease the rebels, but they refuse to be satisfied with his promises, and McCarthy goes down again on the 9th vote! This hasn’t happened in over 100 years!

On the third day of the House trying to elect a Speaker, McCarthy’s name has been entered into the contest nine times, and nine times he’s failed to win the nomination! Because the republican conference in the House cannot agree on even this first step, electing a House Speaker. Several republican members-elect have stood, giving their nominating speeches, decrying how “this city, Washington, is broken; that Congress is broken; that THIS system is broken”, and how they were sent by their constituents to fix the problems (even though some of those members-elect gained their seats as a result of gerrymandered boundaries in their districts). The republicans have decried all the legislative successes of the Democrats in the past two years, as if every piece of legislation For The People was some terrible assault on the right! Every law that will help American families, workers, veterans, elders, women, LGBTQ+, even legislation for businesses advancing manufacturing of such goods as microprocessor chips now being made in America, instead of us relying on parts produced in Asia; it’s all slandered by the republicans. Legislation for lower health costs, lower drug prices, for clean energy, for the health of our very planet; it’s all ‘shite’ in the republican’s playbook. McCarthy garnered 201 votes for House Speaker, in the last few round of votes, with the exception of the ninth vote; he’s now down to 200 votes. For nine straight House votes over 3 days, the Democrats have been unified in voting unanimously for the honorable, Hakeem Jeffries, Brooklyn Congressman, House Minority Leader, for Speaker of the House for the 118th Congress; 212 votes, nine times, over 3 days! Feels like groundhog day, doesn’t it? It started out as a fascinating experience, but now it’s getting boring! How many more days will this continue, with members not being sworn in, and probably not being paid as long as this process takes, and no business being able to be transacted by the House? On Thursday, 1/5/23, at nearly 5 pm on Capitol Hill, Kevin McCarthy has been nominated for a tenth time; Hakeem Jeffries has been nominated for the tenth time; Byron Donalds (a 2nd term congressman from Florida) has been nominated for the 7th time, he received 13 votes in the 9th round. Kevin Hern (Ok) had been nominated in the 8th & 9th rounds, and received 2 votes, each round. Matt Gaetz nominated Donald Trump for Speaker in the last few rounds, who received 1 vote, from Gaetz.

In the tenth ballot, McCarthy loses again! The House will probably adjourn shortly, but they could go another round this evening. Disfunction, anarchy, bomb-throwers, who want to shut down the House, shut down our government, take freedom & democracy from the majority, will their demands be met or not? McCarthy can only afford to lose 4 votes; he needs 218 ‘yes votes’. If they DO vote-in a Speaker in the next week or two, what do you want to bet that THEY can’t wait to shut down our government in March over raising the debt ceiling to bill our bills? The really bad part of this is: the disfunction that’s occurring now, is far less chaos & circus than what will be happening as soon as the Rethugs get their Speaker! Then their bogus investigations will begin, into the DOJ, FBI, IRS, Hunter, Jan 6th committee, and they’ve threatened to impeach Joe Biden! They’ve basically threatened more chaos & violence, and are urging the MAGGOTS on, in all their appearances & speeches. Homeland Security has warned that the U.S. remains in a heightened Domestic Terrorism threat environment; and the far-right, in govt positions, is still lying, stoking political violence, and seeking to cover-up for the participants of the Jan 6th Insurrection against our government. What can we do in 2023 to defuse the chaos? Maybe not give in to the terrorist element in society and in our government, and maybe stop voting for those of that mindset to serve in govt positions? Demand accountability, and bring to justice those who have harmed others.

No Red Wave! Yes, too many election-deniers won their races; that’s troublesome! And GOP now has a slim majority over Dems in the House, however, with Raphael Warnock’s momentous win in Georgia on 12/6, the Dems have a clear Senate majority. House Democrats chose the brilliant Hakeem Jeffries, as Minority leader of the House, to succeed Nancy Pelosi, “Speaker for the Ages”, dubbed by Jeffries. Pelosi was designated ‘Speaker Emerita’ in a unanimous vote 11/29/22. Katherine Clark was voted in as House whip; Calif. rep, Peter Aguilar, to lead House caucus. This younger leadership will succeed ‘the old guard’: Pelosi, Steny Hoyer & James Clyburn, who will hold a new leadership position. Jeffries, Clark & Aguilar will lead a Democratic minority, for the coming two years.

Some folks like to talk about Dems being in dissension, but a ‘diverse’ Democratic House is far different than a ‘divided’ Dem House. The Democrats are usually coming together to pass bills to help everyday Americans, with the not infrequent exception of two renegades, Manchin & Sinema. The other side however, the GOP House, is in near total disarray. Kevin McCarthy is facing a skirmish in the House from his members; can he get 218 votes? McCarthy even warned his members, that IF things get too chaotic, “that blunders could result in Dems choosing the Speaker of the House”, which could actually happen. And if McCarthy does gain the Speakership, can he hold it? Remember Eric Cantor, John Boehner, Paul Ryan? Centrist Republicans might start talking about working with Dems. That would mess up the haters’ agenda. Does McCarthy deserve this? I think no one deserves this more than Kevin McCarthy!

GOP is the extremist-party! McCarthy came out making excuses for Donald Trump “being duped” into meeting with Nick Fuentes, “not knowing who he was”. Mitch McConnell took a more principled stand; he vigorously stated on the floor of the Senate, “there is NO room in the Republican party for anti-Semitism or white supremacy, and anyone meeting with people advocating that point of view, in my judgment, are highly unlikely to ever be elected president of the United States”. MAGA flamethrower, Marjorie Taylor Greene, always jostling for more power, recently spoke at a White Supremacist event, and declared, “no one should be cancelled!”

Homeland Security now warns of heightened lethal threat level to Jewish, LGBTQ & migrant communities by homegrown domestic terrorists. Sadly, Haters abound in America! Right-wingers are suspected in the malicious attack on a North Carolina electric substation, leaving tens of thousands of utility customers without power & heat, for days.

President Biden & Democrats have been very successful since Jan 2021, despite our small majority in the Senate, in passing legislation to help working Americans. Please look up all the legislation passed: the Infrastructure bills to repair & rebuild much of our failing infrastructure; the Chips & Science Act, helping American manufacturers produce microprocessors & more, relying less on Asia & global distribution; and the Inflation Reduction Act. Nearly ten million jobs have been added since Biden took office, and NOW our U.S. gross domestic product is up 2.6%. Inflation right now is a GLOBAL problem! Saudi Prince announced plans to cut oil production by 2 million barrels daily. starting November; and we need to bring home our 2000 troops that have been protecting Saudi interests. We need to protect our own nation’s democratic interests, our rights to free & fair elections; and we need to increase our electrical power grids, relying less on world oil. November 2022 is a super challenging month with tensions running high, and events sure to lay some of us low! “November has a very strong financial and material theme, and the tensions will be strong. It begins with a buildup of planets in Scorpio opposite Uranus in Taurus, the sign of money, and the environment. The north node, which represents our direction and the path we need to take, is also in Taurus, and suggests that if we want to save our planet, we need to completely redefine our definition of progress. Saturn is in Aquarius, forming a hard angle to both these sets of planets & nodes, strongly indicating that the old structures are about to collapse even more.” The madness of denying humanity’s cries, the rampant capitalism & consumerism needs to collapse so that a better direction can rise from the ashes of failed structures. “The solution is to end capitalism and the patriarchal, 3D structures that humanity has lived with for so long. Whether people like it or not, this is what’s coming. The tension will reach a height around the lunar eclipse on Nov 8, and at this point, we will be pushed to break old patterns and rigid structures, and leap toward new ways of relating to money and dealing with the environmental crisis.
