FEBRUARY 2019 PREDICTIONS

“Two interesting and opposing dynamics” occur this month: “Saturn’s approaching conjunction to Pluto in Capricorn and Mar’s conjunction to Uranus in feisty Aries; this clash between authority and the individual ‘is agitated’ when the autonomous energies of Mars and Uranus kick back against the overly controlling, power-hungry energies of Saturn and Pluto”.  Britain’s Brexit is one example of this resistance.  “Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn is ruthless in the extreme.  Don’t be surprised if such power themes are playing out in your personal life ….someone trying to break free or gain some kind of freedom; maybe you are trying to gain liberty in the face of oppressive power …. needing to stand firm in your right to be you.  This month is very much about leveling the playing field of power and allowing people their right to be themselves while maintaining your right to be you.”

Maybe we’re experiencing being on both sides of this fence.  “The Saturn-Pluto conjunction can tempt us into darkness and cause us to lust after power or control, or it can lend us tremendous endurance in the face of hardship.  The Mars-Uranus conjunction can bring out the maverick or rebel in us, and can help us to bring about progressive change or to march to our own drumbeat without worrying too much about what others might think.  Trying to manifest the higher expression of these extreme planetary energies is the challenge that faces us this month.”

“The Aries and Capricorn folk need to be especially conscious of this planetary clash, and the Aquarius and Scorpio people will also be strongly affected and need to tread carefully.  Sudden outbursts of temper or unpredictable behavior are clues that suppressed emotions are trying to make their way out, but a lack of mindfulness could result in impulsive reactions that could also be destructive …. the best bet is to work toward creative change.  Consider what needs to develop in your life; depending on whether you fall on the Pluto-Saturn-Capricorn side or the Mars-Uranus-Aries side, you will need to either let go or forge your independence.”  We might feel “both tendencies, and these alignments are simply bringing the imbalance of this power dynamic to your our attention.”

“The new moon in Aquarius on February 5th will help generate greater freedom and independence, so this is going to tip the balance in favor of the rebels and freedom fighters.  However, if we view this celestial battle in terms of the world leaders and the masses, we are likely to see those who call the shots seeking to maintain tighter controls”  …. and so, this month could see “many people feeling oppressed at work, at home, or in life in general.  But we can have faith that Mars and Uranus will not take this kind of restrictions lying down.”  This is sure to be an eventful month with changes likely and “clashes among different groups of people” occurring, probably mid-month “when Mars and Uranus make their exact conjunction and square up to Pluto”, which is a wide square, so we might feel like we’re dancing close to the fire, but may come out largely unharmed.

“When Mars moves into Taurus on Feb 14th, the previous volatile energies will abate, but we are still left with the heavy planetary energies of Capricorn, which suggests that the powers that be …. will maintain their dominion for some time to come, but these protests and rebellions will become more frequent.  These are warning signs to those with authority that things will continue to breakdown until eventually a new, fairer system is created.”  The third week in  February when Venus conjuncts Saturn and Pluto, a cold wind blows on the lives of Taurus, Libra, and Capricorn folk especially; “effort will need to be made to bring warmth and love into proceedings, best done by focusing on the good things in life and practicing gratitude and appreciation.  As Venus becomes sandwiched between Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, life … for Libra and Taurus people especially could feel rather harsh, but these signs need to remember that this period won’t last long and that there may be a purpose for the austerity”.

“Life may not be much fun for those attuned to the vibration of loving Venus between Feb 17th and 24th, but Mercury’s helpful arrival in support of Venus suggests that there is an antidote to this heaviness, which can be found in lighthearted activities.  For the more gentle and delicate souls to survive, we need to gather our strength, increase our resources, and batten down the hatches to weather a few storms.”  Daytrips to fun places may help lift our spirits.  “Mercury’s support also suggests that solutions can be found through verbalizing your feelings, expressing your love, and attuning yourself to the vibration of love.  Reminding ourselves not to take everything so seriously, and remembering to laugh” is good medicine as well.  “The Sun’s helpful link to Mars and Uranus makes this a good month to focus on progressive change; meanwhile Mercury’s conjunction to Neptune suggests that we don’t have to get caught up in the power dynamics.”

“Mercury’s alignment with Neptune in Pisces suggests that a higher path is available to us this month, and by focusing on loving kindness, appreciation, gratitude, and cooperation we can bypass much of the difficulty we are seeing on an increasing basis in the world.  Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
