MERRY CHRISTMAS 2017 AND HAPPY NEW YEAR 2018!

Warm wishes from our hearts to yours!  Some of you may have noticed that I didn’t get Christmas cards out last year.  My mother passed on 12/16/16 and we buried her the day after Christmas, so it was a very SAD time for my entire family.  There’s been a lot to process since then also: challenges, changes, new beginnings!  John and April graduated from North Central in early June, began their exodus from Naperville, lived with us for a couple of months while they and friends completed a rebuild of a 54 Franklin canned-ham camper; my son-in-law Tyler did most of the work!  Brent got to attend two weeks of church summer camp at Cedars in Lebanon, MO,  then back to our house for another week before the trio set out for Boulder, CO; April being accepted into the musical theatre program at Naropa Univ.  They found a nice apartment, and received  blessings along the way.  Brent is in 7th grade and as tall as I am.  John is putting in applications and resumes, and will be trying to get a book of his poetry published.  It was difficult for Ben and I to see lil Brent go off several hundred miles away from us, but that’s life…. new beginnings, for them and us!  Janai, Tyler and the boys are doing well; Ethan is ten years old this month and Logan just turned five.  Ben is still providing courteous service at the DMV, where people come in and ask for Ben Voss.  I am grateful for my part-time job at Inner Wisdom gift-store, where I have made some great friends, and am opening up to new possibilities within myself, for growth and manifestation.  I am doing Reiki treatments there and forming intentions for attaining higher realms of spiritual awareness.  I am still a weekly contributor to The Register-Mail newspaper, Community Roundtable forums.  My passion is Genealogy and I work on that when I can– not just fleshing out my family tree, but trying to learn as much as I can about the times and places of my ancestors, and plan on producing a book for my descendants, so all my work is not for nought!  My other book is still on the back burner — a memoir on family secrets and my healing journey.   Those who know me — know another of my passions is Politics & History, and I can’t wait to read Chris Matthews’ book:  Bobby Kennedy — A Raging Spirit, and Lawrence O’Donnell’s book:  Playing with Fire — the 1968 Election and the Transformation of American Politics.   Ben and I saw the movie LBJ on Nov 12th, which brought back so many memories!   We live in interesting times — a time of the breakup of old power structures, and a time of reclaiming our individual and collective sense of power.  It is well to be aware of the inner and outer landscapes of  “the times”  as we walk through them — to acknowledge how the events shape us — to feel it at the soul level — to contemplate on what our purpose might be for incarnating in these times, to act in accordance with our soul’s purpose, to embrace our steps …. in the dance, and to hopefully shift it all at the highest levels of our consciousness, to make that shift …  that ascension to the next highest octave of Beingness.   We all have powers unknown to us, untapped, unused.   Now is the time to step into our power and  “BE .. ALL THAT WE CAN BE”!    I have it “on good authority” that HUGE changes are coming, beginning in January 2018 and continuing …..  This IS “the Revolution”!   It IS thrust upon us!   We all have the power to choose how we will ACT and REACT, how we will BE in the new times, how we will process and assimilate  what comes our way, how we will grow from what we learn.   We live in interesting times!!

We wish you all a Wondrous Holiday Season, “wrapped in Love, tied in Joy and filled with Peace”!    And a productive, prosperous, happy, healthy NEW YEAR, full of Joyous Adventures!

With Much Love,  Ben and Trish Forsyth Voss
