Should women count in our society? Should their voices & votes count? Or should they have no autonomy over their own bodies, their own lives, and the lives of their offspring? This is yet another handmaid’s tale. JD Vance of Ohio went on a TV talk show recently to say that he thought the social movement that allowed women to leave bad, even violent marriages, has hurt America. REALLY?! (I’m sorry I bought his “Hillbilly Elegy” book!) The evangelical movement, its followers, their legislators, their Supreme Court justices, intend to drag us backward DECADES if WE let them!

SCOTUS overturned Roe, revoking the rights of anyone with a uterus, no matter their age, to have an abortion, for any reason. On 7/21, only 8 Republicans in the House joined Dems (228-195) to pass ‘The Right to Contraception Act’, to ensure access to contraceptives. ONLY EIGHT! That bill probably won’t pass in the Senate, where they probably won’t take it up until September anyway. That’s in contrast to the 7/19 House vote, where 47 ‘Repubs’ joined with Dems, to pass ‘The Respect for Marriage bill’ (267-157) that would codify federal protections for same-sex & inter-racial marriage. About 3/4 of the House Republicans voted AGAINST that House bill. Rep Glenn Thompson, R-Pa, was one of those 157 ‘GOPpers’ voting against such protections; then 3 days later he attended his own son’s same-sex wedding. “Republicants” are nothing if not hypocrites!

Fox News propagandist, Tucker Carlson, blames women for “young male mass shootings”, saying “they’re ANGRY; the authorities in their lives, especially women, never stop lecturing them about their so-called male privilege”. He also blamed social media, porn, video games & govt-endorsed weed; and deceitfully claimed that “young men are numbed by the endless psychotropic drugs that are handed out at every school in the country by crackpots posing as counselors”. Tucker echoes Senator Josh Hawley’s denunciation of women for all men’s insecurities & weaknesses, claiming feminism, with its criticisms on male masculinity is driving men to view more porn, and play video games incessantly instead of working & raising their kids. Hawley claims “men are in crisis, and so is the country”. That much is true! Fearful, uneducated, excessively-needy, ineffectual, aggrieved men need to ‘man-up’. Anti-feminism is nothing new in our patriarchal-misogynistic society. Men need to turn off their projectors, quit blaming women for all the ills of the world, and OWN their own crap! Some headlines will scream that president Trump “did nothing” while the fires burned at the Capitol, but that’s not entirely true. Trump had conspired with cohorts to cause the violent sedition (incitement of resistance to or insurrection against lawful authority) to overthrow the integral legislative processes to take place on 1/6/2021. Their devious purpose: to delay the vote-count certification proceedings long enough so that — Trump’s henchmen, tens of thousands of rioters, fomenting intense-mayhem, savagely-attacking Capitol police, holding the Capitol under siege for over 3 hours, — so the mob could ‘hopefully’ get their hands on VP Pence, to remove him from his crucial position to possibly invoke the 25th Amendment & assume presidential powers, as Pence ultimately did on the 6th. Trump’s extensive plan, included Navarro’s playbook, Green Bay Sweep (wherein Navarro boasted he organized with over 100 congressmen to keep Trump in office). Trump just needed time to circumvent the normal order of govt business so he could employ the ‘Green Bay Sweep’.

On Jan 6th, Trump ACTIVELY RESISTED the pleadings & demands of White House counsel, of his allies, his family members, his friends at FOX, of many lawmakers, to call-off the mob & activate the national guard; but Trump DELIBERATELY-OBSTRUCTED the government proceedings for 187 minutes, over 3 hours! Trump WAS BUSY calling his ‘demented-general Giuliani’, calling congressmen, pressuring them NOT to certify the vote. He’d lit the fuse, and WAS BUSY as any villainous-arsonist avidly watching the conflagration, reveling in the horrendous scenes on the W.H. television; ACTIVELY IGNORING phone calls from all who were calling to beg him to STOP THE MADNESS! The testimony revealed on 7/21 hearing of Jan 6th commission show us clearly how deranged Trump was & is, and validates that Trump cares nothing for our country, our Rule of Law, our Constitution, for our Democracy. And Trump, ever the media-vamp, tempts his cult-members with the salacious-appeal that he may run for president again in 2024. We should ALL be morally OUTRAGED by such a prospect & galvanized to utmost-action!

All those who’ve been subpoenaed & hiding behind executive privilege, which doesn’t exist in a crime-fraud exception (communications made with intention of committing or covering up a crime or fraud), should be fearful. Any officials, cohorts, Congress members who led Capitol tours, or any Secret Service personnel, who assisted in the insurrection, will hopefully be brought to justice. Most Secret Service members are honorable, I’m sure, but there are numerous deplorable, bad apples in every bushel.

Polls have president Biden at 33 percent job-approval rating; the naysayers blame Biden for many issues outside his control, and refuse to educate themselves on ANY facts, how our laws are passed, how our local & federal government works or doesn’t. Most citizens couldn’t pass a Civics test! Two problems in the Senate: Manchin & Sinema, are both sellouts to big donors. We can’t amend filibuster rules if all Dems wont work with us. We need more senate Democrats elected! Biden’s stated he’ll run again in 2024, but younger ‘would-be’ voters want younger candidates. Biden has little to lose & needs to race AT making major changes now, doing ALL he can by Executive Orders, because the GOP won’t cooperate on passing crucial legislation to protect Americans’ rights. We can’t even pass a federal Voting Rights Act to protect our civic duty!

GOP senators are blocking a vote on legislation to protect the rights of women TO TRAVEL, WITHIN THE U.S. to obtain an abortion, seeking reproductive healthcare in states where it’s legal. GOP, the American Taliban, are trying to pass laws to prohibit such travel. Read the 9th Amendment to U.S. Constitution. Republicans were successful in stacking SCOTUS with religious ideologues; we need more liberal justices NOW! Some GOP legislators have denied that the ten-year-old Ohio girl, pregnant of course as result of rape, is real; they accused Dems of trying to use a fake situation to enflame the revocation of abortion rights, as if we’d need to. That Ohio girl was actually raped when she was nine; she turned ten-years-old & just recently received a legal abortion in Indiana. The arrested rapist confessed. Young girls are raped every day in America. I was sexually-molested at age nine & ten, by a mean, pedophilic-stepfather, and as horrible & traumatic as that was for me, I can still barely imagine the emotional, physical, spiritual torture I would have undergone, as a 60-pound CHILD, had I been impregnated by that detestably-evil man, been forced to carry his spawn, give birth, then have that monster in my life, basically owning me like chattel.

The European Union’s parliament, representing 27-member countries, overwhelmingly condemned the end of constitutional protections for abortion in the United States, and adopted a resolution on 7/7/22, in a 324-155 vote, to add a sentence, to the Charter of Fundamental Rights, reading: “Everyone has a right to safe and legal abortion.” However, many legislators wanted to see EU-wide protections adopted; that may be forthcoming. *** SCOTUS, the American Taliban & their regressive cult-members, like a “Handmaids Tale”, is dragging our country back several decades; and in addition to kicking & screaming, and marching & educating others , we need to be VOTING in numbers larger than ever before! “Come to DC on Jan 6th; will be wild!” Trump seized on the anger of deceived followers, and united a blended-ideology of right-wing, anti-govt-extremist groups, Proud Boys, Oath Keepers & others to join in mass violence, to perpetuate a bloody-coup against our government, so Trump could stay in power. There were permits for rallies in DC for 1/22 & 1/23/21, but those dates would be after Joseph R. Biden’s inauguration on 1/20/21. That would be too late for Trump’s schemes. On 12/14/20, the Electoral College certified the vote counts: 306 votes for Joe Biden; Donald Trump 232 votes, but Trump had already told his supporters that IF he lost, the election of 11/03/20 had been rigged, so his radicalized supporters believed him, because beginning that evening, Trump told his followers the Big Lie repeatedly, “the election HAD been stolen from him”! Trump was blatantly told he’d lost, that he must concede; all lawsuits & his illegal attempts to hold onto power had failed. Trump needed an armed revolution to back him up.

Trump demanded of DOJ, Wm Barr, AG, that he seize voting machines; Barr refused, “there is no factual basis or legal authority to seize machines”. Barr resigned. A surreptitious meeting in the Oval Office 12/18/20 with Trump: Mike Flynn, Sidney Powell & Rudy Giuliani, ragtag con-artists, had come in with an Executive draft order for the government to seize voting machines, and to call out martial law, if necessary. Cipollone, Herschmann & Derek Lyons walked in on the meeting, which became “a free for all”, with screaming & name calling. The meeting moved from the Oval Office to the Trump residence, ‘Yellow Oval’. In the morning hours of 12/19/20, Trump famously tweeted, “Come to DC on Jan 6th, will be Wild”, the lame-duck Commander-in-Chief inciting duped followers to seditious-conspiracy. Steve Bannon announced on 1/5/21, “All HELL is going to break loose tomorrow”. On 1/4/21, Kylie Kremer, a rally organizer, emailed Lindell, “it cannot get out that Trump will urge his followers to go to the Capitol on 1/6/21”. Stephen Miller & Trump planned & changed his prepared speech in the hours before he spoke at the Ellipse, marshalling the mob, the armed insurrectionists to storm the Capitol and Stop the Steal!

Trump is now attempting to pressure Jan 6th witnesses to change their testimony; attempted witness-tampering is a felony and has been referred to DOJ. The president’s oath is to faithfully execute our laws; Trump worked in opposition to our Constitution constantly, he’s now announced he’s running for president again in 2024.

Shocking revelations that should rock us to our core have been exposed by the Jan 6th commission hearings. Cassidy Hutchinson, aide to Mark Meadows, former Chief of Staff to then-president Trump, gave public testimony on 6/28/22, that there had been much discussion regarding the high potential for violence on 1/6/21; she testified regarding some planning & some of the participants involved. The ‘inside job’ to overturn the 2020 presidential election, culminated in the Jan 6th Insurrection-attempt at our Capitol. Trump was warned on Jan 6, that many rally-attendees were arriving armed & avoiding the magnetometers erected in the Ellipse area. Trump, angry about the small crowd in the ‘speech-arena’, demanded “the mags” be deconstructed, saying, “they aren’t here to hurt ME!” The inciters gave their fiery provocations, then Trump told his recruits, “We’re going to the Capitol, and I’ll be right there with you”. Upon entering the presidential-limo, Trump was IRATE when told he couldn’t go to the Capitol; they didn’t have enough security for that. Trump demanded of the Secret Service agent, Bobby Engel, “I’m the F’ing president, take me to the Capitol!” When denied, Trump grabbed the steering wheel; Bobby put his hand on Trump’s arm, requesting he let go of the wheel, then Trump, with his free hand, lunged at Bobby’s throat.

Trump tweeted to his recruits, “Mike didn’t have the courage to do the right thing for our country”. Hutchinson testified she overheard Trump, Meadows & Pat Cipollone, WH Counsel, discussing the rioters chanting, “HANG MIKE PENCE”, and moments later Cipollone confronted Meadows with the demand that they do more to quell the murderous-mob. Meadows said, “You heard it, Pat, he thinks Mike deserves it; he doesn’t think they’re doing anything wrong!” To which, Cipollone responded, “That’s F’ing CRAZY!” The insurrectionists had already infiltrated the Capitol building, stopping the certification process. Pence narrowly escaped the fate the mob-boss planned for him. Trump pressured Pence to refuse to certify the election-count; if he didn’t, Trump wanted him hanged! He determined the assassination of his V.P. would create an illusion of legitimacy for invoking martial law. Pence answered “YES” to the cabinet member’s text about them invoking the 25th Amendment; PENCE called out the National Guard! It’s startling to learn just how vast the plan was, how many cohorts participated & how close they came to succeeding in overthrowing the peaceful transfer of legitimate power in America, our Rule of Law, and undoing our 246-year-experiment in democracy. SHOCKING!

On June 23, 2022, SCOTUS in a 6-3 ruling widened the rights of gun owners by ruling against New York City and other municipalities & states that have passed laws restricting concealed carry of weapons. This infringes ‘States Rights’. Justice Breyer dissented, “Courts should consider whether modern firearms regulations are consistent with the Second Amendment’s contextual & historical understanding”. Then on June 25, Biden signed into law the first major gun reform in 3 decades, passed with bipartisan votes in the House & Senate.

Another ruling on 6/23, (6-3 vote) ruled that police officers can’t be sued under a federal civil rights law, for failing to read Miranda Rights to detainees, after they’ve violated the civil rights of criminal ‘suspects’, nullifying a person’s 5th & 6th Amendment right to NOT incriminate oneself, and right to legal representation when detained. The ‘Third Enforcement Act’ aka the ‘KKK Act’, was passed in 1871, one provision of which allows people to sue in civil court over civil rights violations, including 4th Amendment, unreasonable search & seizures. *If stopped, ask if you are free to leave, if not, invoke your right to speak to a lawyer, then remain silent.*

SCOTUS overturned Roe v. Wade on 6/24/22, at a federal level, making abortions illegal with no exception for pregnancies resulting from rape or incest. Nearly 70 percent of Americans polled wanted ‘Roe’ left intact, but the Catholic evangelical ideologue justices have overturned a 50-year landmark ruling that established rights for women’s bodily autonomy & reproductive freedom. Justice Clarence Thomas suggested that, “The Court should use the same rationale to reconsider Griswold, Lawrence & Obergefell, rulings that now protect contraception, same-sex consensual relationships and same-sex marriage”. He stopped short of adding: inter-racial marriage. What rights will next be forfeited? We need separation of church & state NOW! Abortion rights will now be determined at the state level. President Biden admonished that restoring abortion rights is up to the voters, but his administration will seek to protect access to ‘medication abortion’, and could argue in court that the U.S. FDA’s approval of mifepristone, pre-empts state’s restrictions, meaning federal authority outweighs state action. Women would be able to purchase the drug online, making it difficult to enforce restriction attempts. Attorney General, Merrick Garland declared, “States may not ban mifepristone based on disagreement with the FDA’s expert judgment about its safety & efficacy”.

“This is a time of turmoil & upheaval, astrologically speaking, we are going through a very intense Pluto return period in the United States, which looks as if all we have known and loved is being destroyed or taken away from us. This happens every 247 years or so, and is a time of major intense transformation. The long-term event, (which has another 2.5 or 3.5 years to feel (and reel) from such effects) is on the cosmic docket, and includes a particularly intense 5 to 6-year period, and the effects of it are felt before, during & after Pluto comes back to the exact same position it was in 247 years ago, in 1775/76, which led to a major revolution that turned life upside down in many ways and brought about the creation of the United States of America. It was a time of intense fighting to throw off the tyranny and controlling authoritarianism of the British government and resulted in a brand new nation, founded on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. “Many experience this ‘out of control’ energy by feeling overwhelmed. And the more this feeling continues, the more people will jump ship by leaving their jobs, spouses or bodies. This is a period of major change for the whole collectively as well as for every individual contributing to the whole. We need to get in touch with what’s going on inside us and clean that up, getting in touch with our emotions and telling the truth about what we’re feeling and feel motivated to do. It’s hard for many people to think for themselves, as they want to be liked or fit in, and most people don’t want to think for themselves; it’s easier to just swallow what your family members & friends have swallowed. That way, you won’t be ousted and you can feel safe. There are beliefs promulgated by some in the media that are part of an agenda or entity or entities who want all the power and control over others that they can get. If you aren’t aware of such ploys, you can pray for discernment, and your higher self will guide you to the information you need to free yourself from the tyranny & power grabs taking place in the world of which we might be currently unaware. Clean up your act, and start expressing feeling honestly without blame. Let go of the feelings that are keeping you from creating the reality you truly want. Be kind to others & support them in doing the same. We must start focusing on peace & harmony, rather than on war & chaos. Sharing words & thoughts of abundance & caring help us form the intention to draw those experiences into our life, and to manifest the potential goodness life has to offer. There’s a tremendous potential to create a world that works for all of us. The bad we see now is part of the purging of the aspects of ‘old consciousness’ that attracted all this, but it’s on the way out. Pluto makes current structures crash & burn, but then the phoenix rises from the ashes, and a true mystical transformation is yet to come. Have faith, Trust in a new & better world. It is coming, and trust that it is worth being here at this time to witness it all.”

On June 1, 2022, it was reported there had already been 233 mass shootings (4 or more people shot or killed) in America this year; that was before the guy in Tulsa, OK, on 6/2, shot & killed 4 people at an outpatient surgery clinic, including the surgeon who recently performed surgery on the shooter, who then shot himself. He had purchased the AR-15 on the way to the clinic. There were other mass shootings on 6/2; we’re averaging 2 or more daily. On 5/24/22, an 18-year-old, white male shooter (the usual suspect) killed 19 young, mainly Hispanic students & 2 teachers at Robb Elementary school in Uvalde, TX. In OK & TX, and some other states, there’s no waiting period to buy a semi-automatic weapon. On 5/14, in Buffalo, NY, 10 people were murdered & 3 wounded at a Tops supermarket, in a Black neighborhood; the 18 yr-old, white male shooter, left behind a racist-manifesto of ‘replacement theory’. That racist-ideology, once far-right fringe, is increasingly mainstream, promulgated by some GOP politicians & hateful media-personalities. A recent poll found that 7 out of 10 Republicans professed a belief in the “great replacement”, which is a notion that white Americans are being replaced by people of color. March For Our Lives, gun-control group, assets that these massacres are “enabled by loose gun laws & a gun-culture empowered by white supremacy”.

Census projections estimate that whites ‘may’ become the minority in a quarter century or more; and some politicians are pushing the ideology that the demographic change is somehow being orchestrated by liberals, who are trying to gain political power. Because this is untrue, doesn’t mean we can afford to ignore this dangerous propaganda. As America becomes more divided by economics: financial opportunities for education, housing, healthcare & basic sustenance, you’d think the less well-off folks would be more inclined to vote for Democrats, the only party who strives to help the working class, but data doesn’t necessarily support that hypothesis. Beliefs, biases, perceptions & mindsets are tricky. FEAR fuels irrational mindsets, and some in power ruthlessly manipulate those deep-seated fears. MORE KIDS ARE NOW BEING MURDERED THAN ARE COPS & SOLDIERS! What can WE do about these massacres? President Biden urged, “We must do everything in our power to end hate-fueled domestic terrorism; racially motivated hate-crimes are abhorrent to the very fabric of this nation”. What are WE personally willing to do to overcome our own fears & prejudices? We can pray all we want, but MAYBE God put US here to make a difference. LET’S TRY! YES,WE CAN!
