March is an exciting  month, beginning with a new moon in Pisces, which is a powerful influence for expansion of consciousness and those in need of healing!  The Pisces new moon, aligned with Chiron and Neptune, brings forth a dramatic emphasis on healing, forgiveness and compassion, especially if we focus on enhancing those conditions.  NOW is the time for the healing of our collective wounds as well as our individual ones, and for asking our angels to assist us in this process.  Artists of all kinds, writers, musicians and visionaries will find their creative endeavors under this new moon to be particularly expressive and therapeutic!  During March, a T-square between Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto continues.  For the first half of the month “the planets will be working to liberate us from situations that aren’t working for us”.        If we work patiently to create appropriate circumstances for ourselves we can be assured that the universe is working with us.  Toward the end of the month a second new moon, this one in Aires, conjoined by Uranus and squared by Jupiter and Pluto, urges us to break free from some aspects of our lives, liberating us from restrictive situations.  With this dynamic new moon there’s a palpable feeling of optimism in the air!  This may be discerned “as people rising up against constraints and powerful people”.  This is a great time to affect new and positive changes in our lives and see the “tired old energies and situations fall away”.  As Spring approaches, let us embrace the newness of life, and celebrate the healing changes and opportunities for renewal!

There’s no new moon this month, as we had two in January.  Mercury is retrograding on Feb 7th “through the early degrees of Pisces before heading back through Aquarius”.  Mercury transits are a time to remind ourselves to slow down as charging ahead can create more problems.  The first two weeks of this month would be well spent in creative endeavors, meditation, and examining our inner spaces through spiritual practices.  A full moon on Feb 14th is squared Saturn, which makes for a period of hard lessons and facing uncomfortable facts, a spell of “reaping what we’ve sown”.   There’s also a dynamic T-square between Pluto, Uranus and Jupiter, which will tempt some to cling to denial, but it’s an interval for finding meaning in our lives.  Some will want to break free from limitations, and others will try to fill the void with more material possessions.  Now is the season for beginning to train our minds to acknowledge all the good in our lives instead of ruminating on what we think we’re lacking.  Focus on the positive while working to attract or create more good.  Some will experience big changes this month as “Uranus square to Jupiter and Pluto” will urge some to break free from the past or from that which no longer serves them.  If stagnation has set in, the universe may deal us a surprising hand.  Go with it, and trust the universe  to help you find your way.  “From Feb 16th to the end of the month the growth-inducing square from Jupiter to Uranus is exact, while retrograde Mercury squares restrictive Saturn”, which will prove extremely frustrating for many, pushing them to their limits.  We may see some people impulsively acting out with “angry outbursts and dramatic  actions”.  Take care, slow down and relax, and remember to nourish your soul. Put on your favorite music and exercise away pent up stress and frustration!  Try to see your situation from a different angle, and how you possibly chose or contributed to your circumstances, remembering that “not making a choice is still a choice”.  Know that sometimes our higher selves choose experiences for our soul growth.  Embrace your life and focus on what you have!   Try not to get caught up in the tide of other people’s drama and get swept out to sea on other’s misery, malady, instability or treachery!   Get centered and stay centered during this difficult time, and know that 2014 may hold more upheavals in store for us, individually and collectively.  We need to figure out how best to weather the storms ahead, keeping our course, while nurturing our souls with spiritual comforts.

January is the beginning of a year of big changes and breakthroughs, which certainly will be preceded by disruption and instability; so don’t be too worried that some foundations may begin to wobble.  Old paradigms will be shattered!  It’s time for “new ideas and approaches”.  For those who hate changes, the ride will be bumpy!  The cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) are likely to experience the most changes in their lives.    There are two new moons this month; one was on the 1st; the second falls on Jan 30th in the sign of Aquarius, promoting a full opportunity for change or resolution.  One approach to clarify what you’d like to change would be to make two lists.  List all the things that you’d like to change or let go of: habits, situations, relationships; then burn that list.  On your second, notate what you’d like to create or see manifested.  I like making a small poster or wish-board, cutting out pictures from magazines to represent what I’d like to see in my life; then putting the poster up where I can view it.     If you want to get rid of clutter and excess, it might help to think about the less fortunate that you’ll be helping ….say when sorting through clothes to donate.  If you have 25 sweaters and only wear 6 of them, think of others benefitting from your purging.  This might help your task seem less like work!    ” This month Venus retrogrades through Capricorn”, the sign of wealth and power, “and meets up with Pluto”.   We are sure to hear more about the greed, corruption, and manipulations from powerful, big businesses and corporations.   This year and next is the end of the Pluto-Uranus squares, and it is an important time to stand up, speak out against unfairness and injustice, sign the petitions, and do your part to be heard.   “Organizational powers are clamping down hard on individual freedoms now because more people are waking up, and they have a variety of ploys to keep people asleep or disempowered — from fluoride in the water and genetically modified food to the removal of civil liberties and free speech.”  The coming months will be an extremely volatile time, and sets the stage for what’s to come.    “Big shakeups are inevitable this year!”    The bumper sticker on my car that I traded in last year had a quote by Gandhi: “We must be the change we wish to see” in the world.    One important way we can help everyday, no matter where we are, is to meditate or IMAGINE: “peace, liberty, fairness, well-being and love for everyone, and send that energy out into the universe.  My prayer is for: Love and Light and Peace to ALL.
