August Predictions

All this month there’s a T-square with Jupiter, Pluto, and Uranus.  The opposition between Jupiter and Pluto creates tendencies toward greed, inclining us to feel that we want more, and with Uranus “forming the third angle of the T-square” we might feel more inclined to abandon a situation or relationship that doesn’t seem to be satisfying.  We might feel as though we “can’t get NO Satisfaction”!  The negative combination of Jupiter and Pluto together can represent power and greed, and influence us to focus on our desires, instead of on gratitude for what we already have.  Here in the West, most of us have an abundance of material things, but “many of us suffer from spiritual bankruptcy, resulting in depression or just flat-lining our way through life”.  The higher aspects of a Jupiter/Pluto combination urge us toward spiritual growth.  We need to change our focus to ” what we can give out to the world and how we can manifest greater meaning in our lives”.  This is the time to work on deepening our connection to the Divine, and daily meditation will aid greatly in this endeavor.  Make the time for quiet contemplation and cultivating and growing peace in your inner space.  Walking, yoga, or tai chi would be good for enhancing mindfulness.  The “higher role of Uranus” urges us to “cut back the excess”.  So this is a great time for cleaning out closets, donating things to people who have less, and maybe even shedding some weight.  “The month ends with a grand cross featuring Jupiter, Uranus, Pluto, and Venus in the cardinal signs of Cancer, Aries, Capricorn, and Libra, respectively.”  So as we approach the end of this month “along with the cardinal grand cross with Venus as the key planet, it would be very timely to consider how content we are with our lives”.  Our “challenge is to try to create a healthy balance between being and doing, loving and achieving, and  appreciating and striving”.   There is an attraction in this grand cross, of Venus in Libra calling us to make our relationships our foundation to build upon, and  Jupiter exalted in Cancer sways us to put our emotional desires first.  These ends might not be one in the same.  And “Venus asks us: Are we taking enough time to enjoy our lives?  Do we genuinely share ourselves with other people, or are we always too busy or distracted?  Are we happy with what we’ve got while working (serenely) for what we want?”  Be sure to take stock of and be aware of all that you have to be grateful for; for gratitude is the attitude that helps us manifest more good in our experience.
